So… I would like to state at this moment, there were several moments in my life when I spooned out paltry amounts (a table spoonful) of peanut butter to the two slices of bread from the 42cents a loaf of bread at Aldi, and that being all the boys had to eat for quite awhile. QUITE awhile. There have been a couple of moments where I wasn’t sure where we would be living tomorrow. I earn less than 50k a year now. I have no sorrow for ANYONE making over 200,000 a year being taxed more, and married couples making 250,000 or more, also being taxed more. I have NO issue with the estate tax laws. I think finding the loopholes is cheating. They exist to make it possible for rich people to continue being rich (yes its entirely possible I was Robin Hood in a previous life). It’s like ducking in the exit door to the movie theater to get the better seats, instead of waiting in line like the rest of us.

The Obama campaign is talking about making taxes on the richest 10% of the richest one percent of the world higher. I could care less. The fact that I EVER had to spread things that thin for my sons because someone else’s bottom line was just a little off… fuck em. Lets see here…. Who should hold up the heavier burden do you think… Hercules, Sampson, and Atlas or your Gramma, her neighbor’s kids and the disabled person living up the block from you?

I do agree however, that BOTH groups will need to change the way they spend money. Responsible Fiscal Spending. That should be the cornerstone of any Presidency no matter who is next. Not spending 10 billion a month on a war in Iraq is probably the important part of that same cornerstone.

The Voting Record: I think we all agree that Mr. Bush has not done well (understatement) as President, and that generally his policies have failed to benefit the public at large. The question then becomes, who has supported him, and who has not? Ebb and flow aside, McCain can clearly be seen to have voted with his President a majority of the time. If A=B and B=C then A=C. Its as simple as that.

Also, I don’t care how many tax credits I get at the end of the year, and what they may be for. I want the amount of money taken out of my each and every check to be less. That’s it. I busted my son for surfing porn. Wanna know why? He was looking for information on how to get started in the business. Why? Fastest legal way he could think of to get money for college, short of the military. While I have no issue with other people doing the whole porn thing, I also don’t want my son doing it. I cried when I was done killing him for surfing porn. Why? One more way I failed them.
