Political Front

Guess what? I can totally browse to my diary page? From my Blackberry :D Is that freakin cool or what? :D

On the political front, there is a marginal leader in the race for the white house, but only because (and this is a personal opinion) neither candidate has chosen a running mate/potential VP. I could care less about who McCain picks, but if Mr. Obama picks Dullary, we are sooo dead. People will so vote McCain just to watch her/them die. And it’s not like Mr. Obama can lose any points with the public now. All polls agree that he has a bare minimum lead, but it’s within the +/- margin.

On the plus side however, McCain recently remarked in a statement that “we have had a pretty good, prosperous time with low unemployment,” and yet also remarked not long ago “we’re in a rough patch.” Worst of all, McCain completely supports the continued spending of 10 billion(with a B) a month in Iraq. The only reason the Reagan economic ramp-up of Defense spending worked in the 80’s we had little or nothing to do with build up once made. The money got spent, but it the stuff it bought, did nothing but sit there. Not be deployed to places where it actually gets used and then requires maintenance or even repair. We need a leader who is not driven by revenge, or his own financial gain. We need a leader to stem the bleeding happening in our economy. We need someone who knows and cares about *all* the people. Not just a select few who have lots of zeroes proceeded by ones in their bank accounts, Mr. I-Have-Four-Homes-That-Cost-Over-5-Million-Dollars-Each-Which I Didn’t Know Until My Staffers Told Me How Many I-have. Sorry… I got tired of using the hyphen there, and now have no desire to go back and put them all in. All in all Senator McCain gets a one million dollar tax break on the mortgages he has on his various homes. A MILLION DOLLARS! I cant freaking believe that number because, I cant even conceive of having more than 1500 in my checking account at anyone time, and yet his various mortgages are SOO high that he gets a tax break for them? TO THE TUNE OF A MILLION DOLLARS??? Im sick about that. And yah, I understand how that works. The short story is however, he already pays the money for the stupid mortgages in the first place, plus property tax on them. That money is gone. Now he gets a break on other things so that “it all washes out in the end”? Ok… soooo I want my gas tax break. Someone cut me a rebate somewhere so that I can have a bunch of money or credit to get whatever I need from somewhere. I want a running tab at Target, and never have to pay for it! I want to be able to say OH YAH… I shouldn’t have to pay for that… it’s too expensive!! Just give it to me for free why don’t you? Oh your rich? Damn… and here I thought you HAD money. Sheesh, what was I thinking. You absolultely have got it rough. I don’t know how you can possibly bear the weight of all that awful money. Here, here’s a break on having the money to go out and do what you want. Sheesh.

Mr McCain… It must be a wonderful thing to *NOT* know how many homes you have. Maybe you should spend some time figuring that out, before you attempt to run a much BIGGER household.
