It’s been a week for weather here in the Midwest. We had an ice storm Sunday evening/Monday Morning, and then yesterday we got over 4 and a half inches of the fluffy white crap. The weatherman is predicting a new ice/rain storm for tomorrow, and bitter freakin cold next week. OH JOY!

On a different front, I have been unable to locate a suitable holiday template to replace the one I am using, and while my home here is not decorated for the season… my real home is. We have lots of decorations up, some in the windows, and pulled out the tree. While the real tree is indoor-eco friendly (removes smoke, other allergens, and various bits of crap from the apartment’s air) the fake one is much more friendly to the OTHER eco, my personal economy. Soo.. we got that one. Last year. Everything is very festive at The House of Dad, and I am looking forward to the melee of unwrapping that occurs. I find as I grow older though, a certain Grinch like attitude toward the day. I find that I am not looking forward to the big cook-off part of it, and I trying to come up with New and Exciting ways to trim the expenditures, but still provide a rich and wholesome experience for my sons. So this year, its Cinnabons for breakfast!! (easy, not too expensive, and no mess to clean up) Drool on my fine friends, they come in a NUMBER of spectacular versions… :D check out the site and feast your eyes on them :D
